This one's for The Single Girl, who in a recent post complained that no one posts on Saturdays. You're probably already half way to hammered if the lady hasn't got you running all over the house rolling salmon balls or making decorative animals out of fruit, and too busy to ready my post, but know that I'm thinking of you!
So, TODAY is our anniversary. After much confusion about Thursday and Friday and which was which, we have finally arrived at the day. We're going to the spa, and I'm giddy as a schoolgirl about it! We're just going for a massage, but we get to use the "facilities" while we're there, which includes pool, sauna, whirlpool, and a cafe where you can eat lunch in your robe - I'm so excited!! Even if we don't have lunch, I'm going in there for a 6 dollar coffee at the very least!
In less exciting news, Griffin has Bronchitis. I spent 4 hours at a grimy walk in clinic on Thursday night and if he didn't have bronchitis when he walked in, he most certainly did when we walked out...what a gross, germy experience, sitting in a small confined room, with 30 other people hacking and coughing their lungs out. Kids crying, adults complaining, fa la la la la! Dr Walk In prescribed antibiotics, and I drove home contemplating the repercussions of giving my baby antibiotics at such a young age (for starters it doubles the risk of the child contracting asthma.) Yesterday I spent the day seeking out a Naturopath (Or Witch Doctor as Steve calls them) for a second opinion and found a delightful one in Orangeville - we now have some potions and brews to work with for the next few days...I'm hopeful that a little bronchitis won't ruin christmas, because y'all know how I feel about that!
A few more chores to finish before the onslaught of family begins (I make it sound like a big deal, but there's only 8 of us total, but with one infant, one pregnant lady and 3 dogs it may get a little exciting.) There may be a wee Merry Christmas post on the big day if we can manage it, so until then, enjoy the RAIN(!!!???) and for heaven sake, stay the heck away from the mall!
