Overflow

Occasionally, Griffin does this THING. He has his evening bath, and during the bath enjoys dipping his face into the water and drinking as much of it as he can. And then we get him in his jammies, lie down with him, and he guzzles a boob or two. Then I lie him down in his crib, all calm and serene. And just as he starts to think about drifting off to sleep...he starts to gag. Gag. GAG! And then he pukes. All the breast milk, all the bathwater, and anything else that may have been in his little tummy in one projectile blaze of glory! Lights on, change the jammies, change the sheets, baby now WIDE AWAKE cause what's all the excitement going on?? It's enough to make me want to scream. But I don't. Luckily neither does he. He goes about his puking much like he goes about breathing - no big deal, just another thing you gotta do in the big old journey called life.
