New Tricks

Griffin has learned some new tricks in the past few weeks. They include "talking on the phone," running, and my personal favourite (NOT!!) - hitting. The first one, talking on the phone, is actually quite cute. He holds the phone up to his ear (actually, he prefers to hold the cordless mouse up to his ear) and blahblahblahs away. Tonight I asked him who he was talking to, and he looked at me and said "Dada," as if to say, "who else would I be talking on the phone to?" The running, well, that just means that I too have started running. Joy. And the hitting, well, I'm not quite sure what to do about that. Whenever he gets frustrated, he has taken to flailing his arms madly, and smacking on whatever he's in reach of. Fortunately it's usually me, but today he was apparently quite pissed at one of the other little girls at daycare, and she got a proper beating from my little bruiser. I have a feeling that our kid is going to be THAT kid, the big, burly, fighty one. God, I hope not.

I can see the terrible twos coming from a MILE away...
