Happiness is: Day 14

Truth be told, I'm having a hard time being happy at this exact moment. There's a toddler upstairs screaming bloody murder because he's NOT interested in going to sleep. He wasn't interested in laying down with me, in my bed or in his. He wants milk, water, a meal, anything to keep him from going to bed. (Grandma said last night she laid him in bed, said goodnight, and shut the door, and he squawked for about 30 seconds and then crashed. Sounds lovely!)

Since the pathetic cries of traumatized toddler seem to be blocking out any moments of happy that may have crossed my path today, I will choose instead to share this picture from last week with you:

This tree is around the corner from us, and frankly makes me smile every time I see it. The hydro guys trim the trees in these parts to keep them away from the hydro lines, instead of cutting them down which they seem to do in so many other places. I like to think of it as the tree giving the power lines a big old hug, and hugs can make anyone's day a little happier!

I love trees. I have tons of pictures of trees in my computer. That tree is too awesome.
They trim the trees around the lines here too, only they look like they'd be better off cut down.

I've noticed that tree when driving to your place. I love it. It makes me happy.

Love the tree hug! - when the trees arch up over the road here my Munchkin (3) calls it a "tree tunnel" so now we look for those when we are out driving. When he's not in the car, I still look, and then smile.
