Tuesday Random

-I have a toddler next to me who won't sleep. It may be because he's addicted to Toy Story 2, and needs his fix. We already wore out the Nemo dvd, it appears this one is next.

-I am almost at the end of a 10 day stint of single parenting. I MISS my husband, in a serious way. Please come home now!!

-The other day I was working innocently away in my garden, weeding some nastiness away, when I suddenly felt an ouchie on the inside of my thigh. Since it was really ouchie, I went inside to investigate. On close inspection, it looked like something had stung me...FOUR times!! OK, sting me once, whatever. But seriously, whatever you were, did you need to sting me FOUR TIMES??? Today, 3 days later, one of my bites has swollen up to a welt about 5 inches long by 3 inches wide. Ummm...do you think I may be allergic?? The welt looks remarkably like the welt I got last year when I got stung by a wasp. My mom is seriously allergic to wasps, like drop dead allergic. It could be my hyper-paranoia about wasps that caused my hot flash and shortness of breath, but considering that I didn't even know I had been stung by a wasp, maybe I should investigate this further...

Jenn,

I love your blog - it has become my daily dose of humour. As for hubby being away, I totally sympathize. It seems that if they are around too much we can get annoyed with them but when they are away it is most definately torture. 10 days is a long time. I hope that he will be home soon.

Epi-pen! Get this woman an epi-pen! Hope you're not allergic, that it was just a bad sting. I'm so sorry, hon. Maybe take some Benadryl?

My husband was worried about wasp stings when we were in FL because there was a nest on our patio and the owner wouldn't do anything about it. So he got his doctor to give him an epipen to have on hand just in case. We've never had to use it, but it's nice to know it's there.
