Recovering

Well, we seem to be on the mend.

Yes, all of us.

Steve was afflicted by the plague last night around dinner time and spent much of the dinner hour....errr....indisposed. We all woke this morning though feeling considerably better. Griffin had a decent sleep (maybe because I drugged him...) and so did we. Despite the fact that just about everything in the house has been puked on in the last few days, and Mount Washmore is at one of it's highest levels EV-AH, things seem to be improving.

Sadly, we cancelled our dinner reservation - I didn't think plain pasta or chicken noodle soup was going to be on the menu at the shi-shi restaurant, so we'll try again sometime later in the week.

I (halfheartedly) managed to wrap all the christmas presents today, whilst still in my PJ's (which I am STILL in, thankyouverymuch) and put together the last of the goodies for distribution. I have a project on the go that was supposed to be for Griffin's birthday, and then was supposed to be for Christmas, and now looks like it may end up being for....a random day in February. It ticks me off...it's SO close to being done. Maybe I'll have a massive burst of energy in the next, oh, 1/2 hour or so and get it done.

But...BUT - thankfully Steve and I managed to finish the "masterpiece" before this nasty bug struck:

A number of weeks ago, on Griffin's monthly visit to Grandma and Grandpa's house, we took a trip to the hardware store, got out the power tools, and set about making Griffin's christmas present. And, since Griffin doesn't read (this blog, or any others as far as I know) I feel that it's safe to share it here, even though the big day is still a few days away.

And thus, the Masterpiece:

Don't you just love it? We're pretty gosh darn proud of ourselves, and I hope he likes it as much as we do. And, hope it keeps him from getting underfoot in the grown-up kitchen, where he ALWAYS seems to be!

So, we're ready for christmas, and we had a PJ clad, puke free anniversary -what more could a gal ask for! Happy Anniversary my love, and Happy Holidays to the rest of y'all!

That is awesome! Jonathan would love something like this. Makes me wish I was a little more handy with the tools!

It's perfect! Very beautiful. He (and you) won't be disappointed - Dave built one for Hannah the Christmas she was 3yrs old. It has been in constant use since - sometimes not as an actual kitchen, per say... but lots and lots of fun.

Good work guys! We're off to Goderich in a couple of hours and I can't wait. Len went through the puke fest briefly last night too. Getting very annoyed with him and feeding him chicken soup seems to have fixed it!merry merry to you!
