How does my garden grow?

First off, I'd like to say thank you to everyone who left a comment on that last post! I'm so glad you enjoy it here, and it thrills me that you keep coming back. Your compliments warmed my heart, and I'm very happy to have found a few new friends to follow. You truly did make my day!

And now, what I came to talk about today:

I am in love with my garden.

This is the time of year when the garden really starts to produce. We've been enjoying peas and romaine lettuce and spinach for the past few weeks, with the occasional cucumber. But now is the season when I go out to the garden to grab "just one thing" for dinner, and I come back with this:Romaine lettuce, green beans, cucumbers, Blue Russet potatoes, a few fingerlings, and one random baby red onion, that I rescued from underneath a squash plant that popped up in the middle of nowhere.

The work that I did at the beginning of the season is finally coming to fruition, and it makes me giggle with glee...I love it! I also caught a glimpse of a few baby watermelons that were growing, and we're going to be up to our eyeballs in tomatoes, potatoes, and squash before the season is out.

Some tilling, some compost, some planting at the beginning of the season, and a few weeks later we're awash in produce - how amazing is that!

Blue potatoes? Wow. Do they taste like regular potatoes?
