Messing with Mother Nature

Since we "fell back" this past weekend to Standard Time, things have been different here. Sure, we've been up asstastically early for the past few days. But my wee Corben, the one who napped really well when he was a baby, and then stopped napping really well, maybe sometime around, oh, the spring?

Yeah. You see where I'm going with this, right?

He's napping again, like a champ. 90 minutes or more, twice a day, in the playpen no less, and NOT in my arms.

The boys are both sleeping better at night.

Both of the boys are happier in general.

Maybe, just maybe, it's because we've "reset" them, and they're finally back to normal.

I've been happier, and WAY more productive too.

I DON'T think that fooling your body into thinking it's a different time for 5 months (or however long it is) is a good idea. All in the name of an extra hour of daylight. Maybe we humans were meant to get up with the sun, and to stop doing whatever we're doing when it gets dark....that's why it's DARK people!

Actually, there's no maybe about it.

Changing the clocks so we can get in an extra hour of shopping? Of t-ball practice? Silly.

We shouldn't mess with Mother Nature dudes. She can be nasty!

(Hello, Kettle? This is the Blogging at Midnight Pot calling. I just called to tell you I'm going to bed....I'm not sure what colour you are, I can't see you, it's too dark!)

My whole issue is let's just pick a time and stick with it. Daylight Savings here on the East coast basically puts us on Atlantic time. So, either we're Eastern or we're Atlantic. Let's choose and stick with it and no more time changes. I hate it.
