You can't be serious.

Push presents? Seriously?

Moms, when is the last time you thought to yourself, "Gee, I could really use a pair of diamond earrings right now??" Uh huh, thought so.

Now when is the last time you thought "Gee, I could really use a pair of pants that fits right now??" Uh huh, thought so. If someone wants to buy me a "push present," (which, if you haven't figured out by now, I think is totally ridiculous!!) lets make it something a little more practical, shall we??!!

People make me sick.

ugh, that's so gross! I can think of so many other things I'd love that money to be used for besides bling! Holy crap!

i agree. I read that and was shocked. What in the world is wrong with someone. Talk about missing the point of having a baby. And really, isn't the baby the most important thing to focus on, at that time?

...and if you read throught the associated NY Times article, it talks about women planning for and lobbying for their 'presents'...now far be it from me to judge others, but...I JUDGE YOU I JUDGE YOU, I JUDGE YOU. Wow - do you ever NOT GET 'it'!

I had never heard of such a thing until my husband started asking me what I wanted. I went with the flow because, heck, who doesn't want more presents?
