Blah.

Have I mentioned that I'm tired of winter? Cause I am. I think it's the February blahs, or whatever you want to call it, but I am SOOOO OVER winter. Mama wants spring, and all that it brings, most especially the garden, and the playing outside, because where as I am SO over winter, Griffin is SO OVER being confined to the living room! There is just so much snow outside that it's tough to play out there. Don't get me wrong, when Griffin is a bit older all of that so much snow is going to be wicked awesome for building forts and slides and tunnels and stuff, and we'll be able to chuck him out the door at sunrise, and we'll have to haul him back in kicking and screaming at sunset, but right now its taller than him in most places, which makes it difficult!

Plus, the kid seems to be sick again. He has fever, and a nasty cough, one of those coughs that makes you cough so hard that you puke up your dinner all over yourself. Yeah, one of those.

The last time Griffin had such a cough, the naturopath recommened a cold sock treatment. While the theory made sense, I just couldn't go through with putting ice cold wet socks on my little guy, no matter how much it said he'd dig it. Yesterday our daycare providor told us about something she'd read on the internet, about putting Vicks VapoRub on the feet, covering with a pair of socks, and putting the wee one to bed....and so far, it seems to be working! Much nicer sounding than icy wet socks! I'd recommend the Babyrub over the regular vaporub, as it seems to have less nasty stuff in it, but I certainly think this remedy is worth trying. Hell, if it means I get to sleep tonight, consider me on board.

Speaking of sleep, I'm off!

I've heard about the Vicks thing...only recently. So it really works? Hmmmmm....I usually just put it on my chest and Jonathan's.

I hope you were able to get some sleep last night and that everybody was feeling better today!

Cold socks? No way. No, no way.

Winter started early so I think it had better end early before we all lose our minds! ;)

If you're out there looking for your mind that you lost...and you see mine...could ya tell it to come along home, now - Mama's really falling apart without it. Stresses are beyond belief in my house and I have to talk about it on your comments, cuz i can't even share it on my own friggin' blog. Sigh. So much for my outlet.
