Happy June

I've been feeling the need for a bit of a bloggy-break these days. More than anything in the world I want to find the way to make this new job fit into our life (or make life fit into the new job, whatever works.) I feel like I need to give all my energy to that, and to my little family in the moments that I have left.

And yet, I KNOW I could never stay away from here for too long, so I propose a compromise. I've been inspired by Beki at Artsy-Crafty Babe who just finished one month of a photo a day only, as well as by Erin at Bluebirdbaby, who is starting a month of happiness, focusing on the things that bring her joy in her every day life. I don't know what it all means for me, and what this month will morph into, but I love the idea of focusing only on the joyful things in life, and perhaps at the same time sharpening my camera skills a bit, and showing you some of the beauty that hangs out around here in the summer sunshine.

Our Neighbours...they never fail to make me smile.
All of the rain that we've had in the past few weeks has done wonderful things for the trees in our world, they're budding like crazy! In a few short years, they'll protect us from the evils of the winter wind.
Wet grass. My favourite sandals. Summer at last.

That cow picture is great!! We pass cows and horses on our daily commute into town and the little one loves cows. We always "mooooo" as we pass :) Glad you're joining!

Those are three wonderful captures of summertime happiness. There really is nothing better than wet grass on a warm day :-)

Welcome to that world of spending your day thinking about all the things you want to express...then getting home and doing all the things you need to do...and being far too burnt out to express a single intelligent thought.

I look forward to your photos.

I miss hanging out with my blog, too.
