Work is seriously kicking my ass these days.
Griffin had a great day yesterday, given a pass from daycare, and got to stay home with dad, where they did Griffin's favourite thing - watched "big shows." (Movies on our cinema screen in the basement.) Griffin also got a little set of Toy Story figurines from us in the morning, that he was STILL hanging onto and playing with at 5pm when I met the boys for pizza. He played with them ALL DAY. Best 16 bucks we've EVER spent on a toy!
There was also some time spent on the new, shiny BIG! BIKE! We searched for a bike with inflatable wheels, figuring it would fare better on our gravel driveway, but could only find one...for TWO HUNDRED bucks. For a TRIKE??? I don't think so!! We had a great dinner at Boston Pizza, where Griffin was suitably charming and had all the waitresses fawning over him (we didn't even mention his birthday, to avoid clapping singing (badly) gangs of teenage waitresses.) We carted home, bribed him into the bathtub saying that Woody and Jessie needed a bath, and then snuggled up to sleep. Steve woke me up at 9:30, and I crawled directly back into the big bed, where I seriously wish I could return!
There will be more pictures after our little fete this weekend, along with a suitably heartwarming letter from Mama. Right after I get this stupidly long work day done and over with! Happy Birthday little man! We love you!

Ah yes...the old "Woody needs a bath" routine! I can only get Phelan into the bath by suggesting that various favourite toys are dirty and need him to wash them and cover them with bubbles!
Happy birthday Griffin!
By the way, the bath routine would have never worked for Jonathan. He would have just thrown Woody in and walked away.
*sigh*
OK, four days later... I'm such a slacker.
Happy Birthday little man!
