Since my dad passed away, he has gained a son in law, a daughter in law, and (count 'em) FOUR grandchildren. I wish you had been around to meet them all, Dad....I think you would have liked them!
We have Opa's picture up on the wall in numerous places, all his grandkids know who he is. Well...they know his photo, and I look forward to telling Griffin all about his Opa when he gets a little bit older. I'm pretty sure they would have loved their Opa just as much as Opa would have loved them.
(That's an itty-bitty ME on my Daddy's lap!)

Alot has happened since he's passed, but I'm pretty confident that he has been there for each addition, every change, every birth... and the laughter. He was even there with a gentle hug when you cried.
What a beautiful post. Don't know you personally, but as always, a tear in my eyes anyhow.

We had to have a good laugh when I read about the "WHY!" stage that Griffin is going through. As always we are thinking about Pete this time of the year & miss him too.
Sounds like your dad was a great guy and left some great memories.
So sorry about the loss though.
I just don't know what I will do when I lose my daddy....not in good shape, that is for sure
