The taste of summer

On a dark and dreary day, it is a little ray of light.

In the midst of a snow storm, it's warmth is enough to melt at least a snow flake or three.

In the middle of March it can take you to the middle of August in a SNAP! with one little bite.

Every moment that you spent blanching, cutting, pitting, stuffing, hot water bathing, sealing, storing, every single second of every single moment is worth it when you can crack into a jar of SUMMER and it all comes rushing back.

The smell, the taste, the sounds, the warmth.

The ohmygawdthattastessoooogood.

Summer, in a jar.

*Swoon*

"Movin' to the country. Gonna eat a lot of peaches."
