Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes

So there's a ton of stuff happening here on the roof, so much that there hardly seems time to write about it all. The biggie is that I quit my job. That's right, Q-U-I-T quit. It was making me miserable, and life is to fricking short to do things that make you miserable. So, needless to say, I'm looking for a job. Would prefer very high paying, good benefits, Monday to Friday, 9 to 5 (but 10 to 4 would be better), with a corner office and a masseuse named Swen. In the event that I can't find THAT job, methinks it's back to being a Stage Manager for now. I'm planning on being very picky about what I take (when the jobs start rolling in, that is....) as it all has to mesh with the schedule of the hubby, as well as the boy.

And then, for something totally different, in the last weekend of October I've signed up for a Postpartum Doula training course. This is something that really speaks to me, and I think I would be incredibly good at it, so I'm going for it. I've already had my Naturopath (Dr Voodo McHottie) offer to partner up so to speak, and offer classes and services through her clinic, so that's fantastic!

And more sewing sewing sewing. Ideally I'd be one of those Moms who just stays at home and sews stuff for people all day...if anyone out there wants to commission quilts, big or small, please let me know. I wanna be like Kate!! I DO need to spend some time making a website or some sort of gallery for these things....so many things to do, so little time.

We're also on baby standby here, for TWO separate babies. Baby Kendra is due to arrive any day, I'm hoping to be at her side for that one. Baby Cara is also expected to arrive any day, and we've agreed to look after big brother while his little brother works on arriving. We're holding out hope that we can do both, and that the ladies can keep it to separate days...but Kendra was feeling "strange pains" today, and Cara was too. I have a feeling tomorrow might be a busy day!

To top it all off, Steve is in the middle of a week of hell. I drove into the city tonight to see him and remember what he looks like, and to drop off some clean underwear, as he's decided to stay down there a few more nights. Just doesn't make sense to leave the city at 11:30 and drive for 90 minutes, only to get up at 5:30 so you can leave at 6am and repeat the whole thing over again.

The famous Shadowball is this weekend. We hope it's less eventful than last year. At least there was no sewing this year. There almost was, but then there wasn't, and I was secretly relieved (sorry dear!)

OK, that's it for me. My cold is fighting me...I thought it was gone but it seems to have come back for round two, so I'm going to go show it who's in charge here. Sorry about the lackluster update, but at least it's an update!

Jenn jenn bo benn,
Good girl! Sounded like the whole real estate world just wasn't your bag. The doula thing sounds cool, I can picture that!
If the Kendra baby appears make sure you post about itso I can live vicariously. Don't know who Cara is, but I am sure her baby will be very nice too. Just not as cute and perfect as our Kendra's. I am a bit biased!
