Living in the "northern climate" that we do (you'd think we live around the corner from the Pole the way that sounds) things tend to take just a little bit longer to come in bloom, and to pop their heads out of the soil. This picture is actually a few days old, now the lettuce, radishes, beets, and even a few little lonely corn plants have started to make their presence known. Where all you southerners have been eating tomatoes for weeks, we're just a bit behind the game. Now that things are sprouting, the hard work starts to pay off! I find growing vegetables to be SO satisfying!
