Happiness is...

Happiness is...

...A quiet house.

It's also a noisy house, filled with laughter.

...A sleeping baby.

It's also a wide awake baby, dolling out smiles by the dozen.

...Snuggling with my boys, at the end of a long day.

It's also wrestling with my boy(s) and flying them like airplanes around the living room.

...A garden, blooming in the spring.

It's also a garden dying in the fall, and leaving us with it's fruits.

...A warm cup of coffee.

It's also a cold cup of coffee...as long as there's coffee!

...Pie.

Just pie.

Happiness is family, and friends, and the love that they provide.

And this space. This is my own, personal little slice of happy.

Thanks for visiting!

You perfectly capture that opposites states have the opportunity to create happiness.

And I hear you on the coffee!

eh, I'm not a huge coffee fan, but I'll take a bit of it in my milk and sugar either cold or hot! :-)

You are so very right on every single one of those.

Just pie gave me a chuckle. Happiness, indeed.

My little guy has been waking up at 4 am giggling. While I would love to be sleeping at that time, I can't help but smile over his coos.

Sigh.

Beautiful contrasts.

I love the pie. But for me happiness is a large scoop of ice cream with my pie.

Ah yes, both sides of the coin. I loved this. Happiness is a nice, sparkling clean house. But it is also a messy house that shows we're having fun LIVING!

I love love love that you threw those opposites in there. Because you are so right. Happiness comes in all shades and in all moments. It is both a quiet house and loud house. But here's a question, why do I always want one when I have the other?

Oh life. She is full of so much !!!
