Creativity Bootcamp, Day Five

I had this square in my head ever since the start of Bootcamp, and I was just waiting for the opportunity to do it.

I'm really happy with the way it turned out, which is a nice switch from yesterday's tank-fest. It was nice to use some appropriate border fabric to frame up the "picture" area, and to keep the picture area really simple.

I've learned that the quilt as you go method I had in mind doesn't work so well for these little picture squares.

Today's word: Growth.

I think I have.

(Grown. Not a growth.)

This turned out fantastic! It makes me want to start quilting again! I have way too many hobbies..lol.

I really love how your made the quilting below the plant look like roots. The bright blue reminds me of a clear summer day. Great job!

I'm pretty much loving this project, but this is, thus far, my favorite of your squares. Well done!
