I made Salsa today, from the tomatoes from our very own garden!!
Aren't you proud of me??? But wait for it...
Then I canned a whole bunch of it - like with a canning pot, and one of those jar-grabby things, and a magnetic lid picker-upper (I borrowed those last 2 items from Cara, but STILL!!)
Aren't you VERY proud of me??
If you say nice things, you may just end up with salsa in your stocking at Christmas....

Nice things...nice, nice things. Mmmmmm, yummy salsa! I love salsa! The only thing better than homemade salsa is....Jenn! I love Jenn. I love salsa. Jenn is good. Salsa is good. Wow! Good on ya! Didn't even scald yourself?
Ok, now it's time to put up some peach preserves and you'll be all set to handle winter on the prairie.
I'm just jealous, because I don't know how to can. *sigh*
I didn't either until that day - it's stupidly simple. I just got a quick 5 minute lesson from Cara (and stole a few of her canning acessories!) and off I went!
