Honey, I'm home!

Well, hello

We're back from our camping adventure, and an adventure it was.

Isn't it funny how one little thing can happen on one little day of your trip, and it can be the ONLY thing that you remember, how your "Camping trip of 2009" will go down in the history books?

Like that one time, when Griffin puked all over our TEN DAY OLD car? And that time that he passed his puke-ness to me, and I spent a night huddled over a bowl in the tent?

Oh wait, that was THIS time!

So, yeah. We had a bout of the 24 hour flu fly through our campsite and that of our friends that we camped with. The women and children were afflicted, luckily the men were not, as SOMEONE had to be available to empty out puke-buckets in the middle of the night. The children seemed to get over it rather quickly - Griffin spent a lethargic morning, puked all over the car, had a nap, and then was good to go again.

(Did I mention that our car is BRAND-FREAKING-NEW??)

Me? I took the FULL 24 hours to recover...likely since my body is also busy doing other stuff...you know, like growing a baby and all that!

But OTHER than the puketasticness, we had a great time. And that's all I have to say about that, since my bed, my lovely soft bed that I haven't slept in for 7 nights, is a mere 10 feet away from me and SCREAMING my name!

And so, I leave you with these:

Kid gets down and dirty with a corn cob:

Wonderdawg enjoys a chillaxin rainy morning in the tent. Rainy morning movies...we thought he was just tired....little did we know we were about to be barraged!
Annnnnd back in the saddle!
Hotdawg my kid is cute!

Man, you must seriously love you some camping. I'd have been home at the thought of having the flu. But then again, I don't really like camping ;)
