Takin' care of Business (Part The Last)
Last weekend, along with the fashion show, my niece and nephew turned two. This is by far, the best shot of the day:
It was also the first in a series. When we realized we were missing a kid, we tried to add him in. And make everyone stay seated. And smile. Which, with 5 children under 4 is damn near impossible. Alas, the moment was lost:

Happy birthday Theo and Jolyn!

A whole lotta twins!
I just got back from spending a day with my brother and sister in law, and their brood. Seriously...3 kids under a year old? Just chuck me straight in the loony bin if they were all mine!
My visit was mostly spent hovering over their playpen with my camera, where they slept pretty solidly practically the whole time I was there. I have this theory - they're just coming up on their official "due date," had they stuck it out the full nine months (not that Stace would have let them...I think she would have performed her own damn c-section if they had been in there any longer!) So my theory is that they're going to "wake up" any day now. I hope for Paul and Stacey's sake that my theory is wrong...but it's still my theory.
Warning: Major Photographic Overdose of Cute to follow:

They're here!
They're here! And, they had the smarts to arrive on Monday, so I got to hold and snuggle and take pictures before I had to go!
Theodore (Theo) Joachim Jansen and Jolyn Klara Jansen arrived on Monday afternoon, weighing in at 5lbs 12 oz and 5 lbs 2 oz respectively. Jolyn and her mom are home already, Theo is in the NICU because of some initial breathing problems. He's been fine since about 8pm last night, but they need to keep him there for 48 hours without any trouble.
Auntie RETARDO (um...that's be me) left her camera at Paul's house when she went to the hospital, so didn't get any pictures of Theo, I only got pictures of Jolyn when she came home. Here she is, looking all cozy and itty bitty:
What a lovely visit we all had. My brother and I stayed up too late last night and drank too many beers, and talked about how our little family just grew exponentially - my Mom had NO grandkids 19 months ago, now she has 4!
Welcome to the family Theo and Jolyn!

Twin-ness
Well, my sister in law was supposed to be induced at some point this morning. I haven't heard any news yet, but me and Griffin McCrankyPants are off to go a-visitin', in hopes that the babies are smart enough to arrive before I have to leave London again tomorrow night.
We are taking with us this adorableness that I "whipped up" over the past few days: (Just the bibs, not their hosts.)

Oh yeah, and...
Twins. By next Tuesday, at the latest. Although Stace has been "crampy" all day, and has progressed to 4cms, doing nothing but lying on her back. Methinks they'll be here WAY before next Tuesday's induction date.
Wahoo!!
Wahoo!!

The Twins Are Coming!
I know, I know, you've all been sitting around, asking yourself "What about Jenn's brother's twins that were mentioned oh so long ago? Whatever happened to them?"
Well, I tell you, their debut is imminent - we've all been anxiously awaiting their arrival, some of us more anxiously than others. Stacey, my poor sister in law (the one who they've been kicking the shit out of for the past 8 months) is perhaps the most impatient. Especially since they chained her to the bed at her last checkup, 2 days ago. Yes, my poor sister-in-law has been admitted to the hospital, with 4 weeks to go, and put on bedrest, and let me tell you, she is none too impressed! Heck, I wouldn't be either. Being hellishly uncomfortable in your own bed in your own home is one thing, but being hellishly uncomfortable and chained to a super-dooper, very narrow, hellishly uncomfortable hospital bed, with no husband at your beck and call is just cruel punishment. I was out of the hospital a mere 12 hours after Griffin was born because I didn't want to spend another SECOND in the hospital bed. I swear they make those mattresses out of cardboard and the bones of the people that have died in them.
So, what's my point you may ask? The point is that my nieces and/or nephews (or one of each!) will be here soon, so stay tuned!!
